I'm grateful I'm still here and able to do what I love after all these years. I've seen a million people come and go in this industry but I'm still here. Do I have things to be upset about? Of course! But I rather keep pushing and remain grateful 🙏🏾❤
#FBF I was fooling around with djing from the 80's but got serious about it from 1990-1996. My older sister introduced me to Mikey Dread around '88/'89, he seen what I was doing in my basment in #Glendower and liked it. He introduced me to his older brother @jrf1002 and his younger brother Randy Savage and we formed #RADICATION.
The 3 brothers schooled me to the Sound system / Dancehall / Jamaican culture in 3 different and unique ways. Randy was the youngest of us all and he taught me the swag and pr part of the business. Mikey and I were closes in age so he showed me things in the business from our point of view. Junior was the oldest out of all of us and he taught me how to be a boss and make strategic moves. Junior kept me from the streets by investing time and money into my raw skills.
I couldn't understand every lesson they taught me back then but it made perfect sense the futher I got in my career. I have a different type of love and respect for the Fearons 🙏🏾🖤
